Jet Konnect Select
Jet Airways launched Jet Airways Konnect on 9th may-09 and in a short period of one year Jet Airways Konnect has made its market among the travellers. Jet Airways is now offering semi business class cabin in Jet Airways Konnect flights, called Konnect Select to provide luxury travel on economical fares. Jet Airways Konnect is economy no frill airlines service by Jet Airways. “Konnect Select” will start on 26th April on selected routes.
The ‘Konnect Select’ will feature wider and more comfortable seats similar to Jet Airways (Business Class) seats with a 40 inch seat pitch, in a front cabin separated from the all-economy cabin by a divider offering enhanced privacy on Jet Airways Konnect Boeing 737 flights. There will be 8 seats in every Konnect Select flights for business class.The services also include complementary in-flight reading material, a welcome drink, and complimentary hot meals on-board. ‘Konnect Select’ will offer guests lounge access, priority check-in at dedicated counters, as well as priority baggage tagging and baggage allowances. Konnect Select now has been doing very good over these months and people are really liking it very much.
According to Sudheer Raghavan, CCO, Jet Airways, “Jet Airways has always been proactive in responding to market demands and has demonstrated a flexible approach in devising products and services to meet consumer needs. With its low-fare, high-quality all-economy product, Jet Airways Konnect has been a resounding success with all our guests. However, as domestic air travel continues to rise, and governmental and corporate travel restrictions are relaxed, there has been increasing customer demand for a superior in-flight product with more benefits and privileges than, our current all-economy Jet Airways Konnect product”.
A business class one-way ticket from New Delhi to Mumbai on ‘Jet Airways Konnect’, the airline’s economy service, would cost Rs12,000 all inclusive, compared to Rs35,371 charged by the full service carrier. This will the same Jet airways luxury travel experience to all its guests with less fares. Jet airways konnect hope 8-10% growth in revenue after this launch.
Vice President Mahantesh Sabarad of Equity Brokers India Lt said - “Konnect Select shows the confidence in the upturn of passenger demand, especially for premium passengers,”. He estimated that it would bring in at least Rs12-13 lakh a day for the airline. On the downside, though, he said the multiplicity of brand will leave passengers confused. This is interesting to see because Jet has taken a nice move to launch "Konnect Select" service and this purely based on thousands of customer feedback for Jet Airways Konnect, launched a year ago. There would be more sectors added to "Jet Airways Konnect" service and more and more people are supposed to enjoy semi business class luxury now at half the cost of the normal business class ticket.

When Jet Airways started Jet Airways Konnect service, I got disappointed as this was something which people of my taste and class would have liked.
